Its first new submerged-arc furnace was slated to commission at the start of May

SHANGHAI, May 13 (SMM) – An Indonesian nickel pig iron (NPI) plant will further postpone the production of its first new submerged-arc furnace that was slated to commission at the start of May, a source told SMM on Friday May 10.

Slower-than-expected construction of the capacity led to the delay. The producer planned to put four new submerged-arc furnaces of 33,000KVA into operation this year.
